«Queere Tiere» is a musical storytelling evening. Daniel Hellmann and Coco Schwarz take to the stage as their artistic characters «Soya the Cow» and «Piano Prince» and tell and sing with joy, humour and sensuality about the diversity of sexualities and forms of love and life in the animal kingdom. Based on their personal perspective as queer human animals, they interweave stories of real queer animals and animals from myths and fairy tales, with the theme of transformation serving as a source of inspiration and leitmotif - both musically and in terms of content. With hybrid human-animal mythical creatures, we are immersed in a fascinating world in which gay sheep, lesbian albatrosses, bisexual snails, wolves disguised as grandmothers and transgender clownfish coexist. The result is a multi-layered picture of a nature that - freed from heteronormative interpretation constraints and transmissions - makes life visible and celebrates it in its colourful abundance of forms of existence.
