To mark Helmut Lachenmann's 90th birthday in autumn 2025, Trio Catch is dedicating a concert programme to the great composer that reflects his philosophy of listening and experiencing. Lachenmann likes to talk about the difference between the happiness of a bath – familiar and comfortable – and the happiness of a mountaineer, where the path is sometimes arduous, but the reward is all the more fulfilling. This concert invites the audience on a shared journey: from the most subtle sounds to an intense, overwhelming listening experience.
