Family Concerts

Special family concerts are available for our youngest guests.

gare des enfants is Gare du Nord’s programme for children and young people. Since 2004, it has been creating original in-house productions that involve children not only as audience members, but as active participants in the artistic process. The programme is complemented by special formats for families, kindergartens and primary schools.

2026/27 Season «ANIMALS, OBJECTS, WORLDS – A Season of Encounter and Transformation»
Mice seek refuge, houses hum, a grand piano hatches from an egg, stones turn into music, paper grows legs, sheep dream of breaking free, and animal figures take over the Claramatte together with musical instruments.
This season, gare des enfants explores the creatures, animals, objects and worlds that surround us – as well as those that only come into being through imagination, sound and collective creation. In the sound workshop, postcards, maps and found objects are transformed into imagined places, dream landscapes and audio postcards.
Children, families and school classes are invited to discover music theatre, puppetry, sound workshops and participatory formats. Together, they listen, build, film, explore, play and dance. The children’s own worlds of sound and imagery become an integral part of the artistic process.
The result is a season about encounters and transformation: objects come to life, materials become instruments and stories, and imagination turns into music. Together with artists, children discover new perspectives and playfully rearrange the world around them.

An invitation to everyone to immerse themselves in this many-voiced world.
